I am a proud Detroit Native. I currently am a licensed counselor in Michigan that specialize in acute mental illness. I have a BA from Spelman College, a MA from Boston University Medical School. Aside from my apparent affinity to academia this is not how I define myself. I really consider myself a writer, lover, and a person with an unyielding growth mindset. I am my definition of Black Excellence, please be your own definition! This website was created because young People of Color need to be celebrated and instead of waiting for it happen, let’s make it happen.
